Investment House D8 is a brokerage company focused on private and institutional clients with large capital.

Following a major rebranding, the company sought to move away from its image as a retail broker and establish itself as a new-level investment house. As part of the new positioning, we developed a brand website that reflects D8’s strategy and attracts wealthy investors.

Context and task

We came up with the site concept after looking at our clients’ processes. D8 is focused on boutique service and a partnership model, not full automation of communication. Risk profiles and investment goals are figured out through personal chats between investors and experts, not online forms.

The key entry point for communication is a personal recommendation from a D8 broker: a link to the website serves as a modern business card and ensures targeted conversion.

Identity

The company’s visual direction builds on an updated brand book and a system of references that shape the brand’s character: confident, modern, yet subdued. The photo style is split into two main themes:
— landscapes convey a sense of freedom and inner peace;
— architectural shots are linked to reliability, structure, and grand scale.

The visual language of the website is built on a balance of emotionality and rationality — a key principle of D8 brand communication.

Visual system

The logo became the modular basis of the visual system: its geometry and plasticity were used in the creation of UI components and decorative patterns. Brand gradients and typographic rhythm support the feeling of technological sophistication and a premium approach.

This resulted in a consistent system of elements that defines the unified visual language of the website.

Design concept

The website primarily serves an image-building function: it presents the company’s experience, positioning, and approach to working with clients, while remaining the main point of access to the investor’s personal account.

To convey the exclusive and «boutique» nature of the service, we used a restrained color palette, soft gradients, and minimalist graphics. Photo content plays an important role: each frame reinforces the feeling of reliability and partnership.

Development

We focused on speed, stability, and making sure visual effects looked good on different devices. We built it with Pug and SCSS, which gave us modularity, clean layout, and flexible styles. A component-based approach helped us keep a consistent visual style and made it easier to support the project down the road.
